We are at the beach!
I asked for the week off ;-), but I thought I would still drop a little beach post anyway. I am not sure you will hear anything from me later this week though.
We are enjoying the last tidbits of summer. The night before we left, a friend told me to enjoy my last beach trip with preschoolers. I was like :-0. Needless to say, it did not help my state of mind!
Lately, I have been trying to wrap my brain around the last six to eight years and where they have gone.
I went from a working mom of one, with a successful career, to a mom of three overnight. I left corporate America, after fourteen years, to stay home with my children and found myself adjusting to different demands that seemed more flexible, but at the same time more rigid.
Now, I am staring down another unfamiliar space, where for the first time in six years I won’t have anyone home with me for the majority of the day. I am preemptively grasping for a little purpose over here!
But, as many who have walked this path before me…I will probably be busier than expected. I will let you know.
Until then, this is pretty much what I am up to this week. Well, this and building sand castles!
